Placa Reial

Looking for some Barcelona magic, I have the place for you! The Placa Reial, but a stone’s throw from the lively Rambla, is where to go for good tapas, palm trees, Flamenco and dancing into the small hours!

Surrounding the stunning ‘Three Graces Fountain’, this square, formerly the site of a Capuchin Monastery, is a lively spot as popular with the locals as it is with tourists. Here, you will not find yourself short of a place to ‘people watch’, the square is flanked by cafe and bar terraces as well as comfy spots to sit and eat a picnic. Entertainment is never in short supply here either, with buskers often settling in for the evening and often some high jinx or other going on.

Here are some of my favourite eating and drinking spots in Barcelona. These places are popular and so provide plenty of opportunities to meet people and to watch the world go by. Life in Barcelona is pretty hectic so it helps to pace yourself! Have fun!
